Product FAQ
What is the detection range of the M18 sensor, and how does it compare to M12 models?
The M18 inductive sensor offers a significantly larger sensing envelope, with a nominal distance of 8mm for unshielded (non-flush) models. This is double the range of standard M12 models (typically 4mm), making the M18 ideal for applications with larger mechanical tolerances or where a greater safety gap is required between the sensor and the moving target.
Is the output logic (NO/NC) switchable on this 3-wire M18 sensor?
For maximum circuit stability and simplicity, our M18 series features fixed output logic. We provide four dedicated SKU options: NPN NO, NPN NC, PNP NO, and PNP NC. Please select the specific logic required for your PLC or control system at the time of purchase to ensure "plug-and-play" compatibility without the need for manual configuration.
How does ambient temperature affect the sensing accuracy of this switch?
Our sensors are engineered for thermal stability across industrial environments. Within the standard operating range of -25°C to +60°C, the detection distance fluctuation is maintained within ±10% (referenced at +23°C). For extreme conditions from -30°C to +65°C, the maximum variance remains under ±15%, ensuring consistent triggering and reliable position feedback year-round.
